If you have just found this website for the first time, you are probably here because your school, college, or education business is trying to solve one of a few persistent problems. Inquiry volume is not where it needs to be. The admissions process is losing families somewhere between first contact and enrolment. The website is not converting the traffic it gets. Or you are watching competitors grow while your own enrolment numbers stay flat — and you are not sure where the gap is.
This page exists to explain clearly what WonderMaple Strategy is, where we come from, why we built this consultancy the way we did, and what working with us actually looks like for schools that want to compete seriously in the AI age of education.
WonderMaple Strategy is a specialist education recruitment and marketing consultancy headquartered in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. We work exclusively with educational institutions — private and public schools, colleges, universities, tutorial and learning centres, language schools, and EdTech companies — to grow enrolment, improve inquiry quality, and build recruitment systems that keep working without requiring schools to add headcount.
Our services cover the full student recruitment lifecycle. That includes SEO and AI search visibility, so your institution is found on both Google and AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. It includes content marketing, admissions funnel strategy, paid media, CRM and workflow design, website conversion optimisation, and the integration of AI tools into your recruitment process in a practical, low-risk way. We serve clients across Canada and internationally, with particular depth in Asia, Southeast Asia, and increasingly in Latin America.
But the description of what we do tells only part of the story. The more important question is why we approach education marketing the way we do — and that comes directly from where we started.
WonderMaple Strategy was founded by Jenkin Tse, an education recruitment specialist based in Ontario, Canada. Before building this consultancy, Jenkin spent three years on the front line of student recruitment — not as a marketer advising schools, but as a practitioner directly recruiting international students into high schools and higher education institutions across North America.
Over those three years, more than 2,500 students were placed into institutions, almost entirely through digital channels. No mall booths. No traditional agent networks. No large sales team. Just a recruitment system built from scratch using SEO, social content, YouTube, Facebook, community building, CRM discipline, and a deep understanding of how international families — particularly from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Southeast Asia broadly — actually make decisions about overseas education.
That experience produced something most marketing agencies do not have: a genuine, operational understanding of the full student journey from first online discovery through to enrolment, visa support, and arrival. The questions families ask. The platforms they use. The trust signals they need. The objections that kill a conversion. The follow-up rhythms that keep warm leads moving. All of it learned not from textbooks or client briefs, but from handling cases personally, every day, across multiple markets and institution types.
Jenkin also authored a published guide on studying and immigrating to Canada — a resource that has reached thousands of international families and further deepened the direct relationship with the student and parent audience that WonderMaple now helps institutions reach.
During those years of active recruitment, it became clear that the volume and complexity of managing thousands of student inquiries could not be sustained purely through manual effort. The operational bottlenecks were real. Response time suffered. Lead quality was inconsistent. Follow-up was difficult to systemise at scale.
That problem led directly to the development of EduviXor — a proprietary AI tool built specifically for the education recruitment sector. EduviXor was designed to streamline and accelerate key stages of the student recruitment process, from inquiry capture and lead qualification to follow-up automation and multilingual content delivery. It was not built because AI was fashionable. It was built because there was a real operational need, and the tools available in the market at the time were not designed with education recruitment in mind.
WonderMaple also developed JuniorCEO, an AI tool for the student-facing side of the education journey — helping young learners and families navigate educational decision-making, programme selection, and career-path exploration in the AI era.
These tools are important to understand because they reflect the fundamental difference between WonderMaple and a traditional education marketing agency. We did not come to AI as a service offering. We came to it as practitioners who needed better tools, built those tools, and now bring that operational AI experience directly to the schools and institutions we work with.
Most education marketing agencies are staffed by marketers. They understand campaigns, creative, platforms, and analytics. That expertise has real value. But it is a different expertise from understanding what a school admissions officer is dealing with when inquiry volume spikes and the CRM is not set up to handle it. Or why a family from Vietnam takes 18 months to make a school decision and what needs to happen across those 18 months for trust to develop. Or why a well-designed chatbot on a school website will produce nothing if the underlying positioning is unclear and the inquiry form asks too many questions.
WonderMaple was built on direct recruitment experience first, and marketing expertise second. That order matters. It means every recommendation we make is grounded in how recruitment actually works operationally — not just how it looks from a campaign dashboard.
It also means we approach the AI transition in education differently from most agencies. Many consultancies are now offering "AI services" as an add-on to existing marketing packages — chatbots dropped onto websites, automation tools bolted onto broken processes. We take the opposite view. AI should only be introduced once the fundamentals are right. Unclear positioning, a confusing website, and a weak inquiry follow-up process will not be fixed by a chatbot. They will just be exposed faster.
Our process always starts with diagnosing what is actually wrong before proposing what to add. That is a direct result of having been inside the problem, not just advising around it.
The shift in how students and families discover, research, and shortlist educational institutions is accelerating faster than most schools have adapted to. Google is no longer the only search channel that matters. Parents and students are increasingly using ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot to research schools and ask questions that previously would have required visiting ten different websites. If your institution does not appear in those AI-generated answers, you are invisible to a growing share of your prospective audience before they ever make contact.
At the same time, the pressure on schools to demonstrate outcome value — not just programme features — has never been higher. With graduate unemployment rising and AI reshaping the careers students are preparing for, families are making more scrutinised, more emotionally loaded education decisions than any previous generation. The schools that win in this environment are not necessarily the ones with the best facilities or the longest track record. They are the ones that communicate the most clearly, build trust the most efficiently, and convert interest into enrolment through a journey that actually reflects how modern families make decisions.
Most schools are not there yet. Websites are outdated. Positioning is generic. Follow-up is inconsistent. AI visibility is zero. And the teams responsible for recruitment are skilled at their jobs but under-equipped for the specific demands of digital-first, AI-era recruitment.
That is the gap WonderMaple was built to close.
We work with educational institutions of all sizes across Canada and internationally. For Canadian institutions, our work typically includes private school marketing strategy, international student recruitment targeting Asia and Southeast Asia, admissions funnel optimisation, and school SEO services designed to improve visibility on both traditional Google search and the AI tools that are rapidly reshaping the discovery landscape.
For institutions recruiting internationally — particularly those targeting families in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea — we bring direct market knowledge of the platforms, communication styles, decision timelines, and trust-building requirements that make international student marketing from Southeast Asia fundamentally different from domestic Canadian campaigns.
Every engagement starts with a free recruitment audit. This is a structured review of your website, search visibility, inquiry funnel, and admissions process. It takes two to three business days and produces a clear written report with specific, prioritised recommendations. There is no sales pitch, no obligation, and no cost. It is how we demonstrate value before asking for any commitment.
From there, engagements are either project-based — a defined scope delivered in four to twelve weeks, starting from USD $1,500 — or retained monthly partnerships for ongoing strategy and execution support. We adapt to your team's capacity and work either as an external strategy lead or as a hands-on execution partner, depending on what your institution needs.
Schools that engage WonderMaple do not just get better marketing. They get a clearer understanding of where their recruitment system is actually breaking down, what families experience when they research and contact them, and what specific changes will move the needle on enrolment rather than just on impressions and clicks.
They also get a partner who has recruited students directly at the scale most agencies have only managed in aggregate for clients — and who built AI tools for the education sector before it became a trend. That combination of frontline recruitment experience, AI development background, and deep familiarity with the international student journey across multiple source markets is not something most consultancies can offer.
In an era where the schools that adapt fastest to AI-driven discovery, outcome-focused messaging, and digital-first family journeys will outperform the ones that do not, that experience is the difference between advice that sounds right and advice that actually works.
If you are here because your school is trying to recruit more students, convert more inquiries, or figure out how to build a recruitment system that can compete in 2026 and beyond, the best first step is the same for every institution we work with.
Start with the free audit at www.wondermaple.com. Find out exactly where your current system stands. And then decide from there — with no pressure and no obligation.
The families you want to reach are already searching. The question is just whether what they find gives them a reason to choose you.
WonderMaple offers a free, no-commitment recruitment audit to help you see exactly where your school is losing inquiries and what to fix first.
